Escaping San Francisco at The Sea Ranch Lodge

Two hours north of San Francisco, The Sea Ranch Lodge feels like you’ve fully left city life behind in the best way possible. The second you arrive, everything slows down. The air is quieter, the views are bigger, and your nervous system immediately unclenches.

I planned my company’s off-site here for a group of 10, and it ended up being the perfect escape from San Francisco.

A Property That Makes You Exhale

The lodge was recently renovated and it’s stunning. Clean lines, warm textures, and big windows that pull the outdoors in. With only 17 guest rooms, the whole place feels intimate, calm, and intentionally designed.

The rooms are beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with heated floors, complimentary wine, a yoga mat, a fireplace, and snacks, all framed by the surrounding landscape.

Incredible Food That’s Rooted in the Land

The food alone is worth the trip. The on-site restaurant is simple and stunning, with beautiful views and an excellent wine list. Everything is seasonal and connected to the land, from the edible garden to the cows and pigs we met on a private tour, which made every meal feel that much more special.

Hiking That Resets Your Brain

The hiking around Sea Ranch is unreal. Coastal bluffs, open fields, dramatic cliffs. We spent a lot of time outside between meetings, and it made the entire off-site feel balanced instead of draining.

We also did an outdoor yoga class, which felt like the perfect complement to long walks and fresh air.
