The Three Hotels That Made Our Greece Honeymoon Unforgettable

I’ve dreamed about going to Greece since I was a little girl. Yes, Mamma Mia! absolutely played a role. But the real reason this trip felt so full circle is that the very weekend my husband and I met, seven years before we got married, I told him my dream honeymoon was Greece.

So actually being there together, fresh off the wedding high, felt unreal. We were intentional about every stop, but especially the hotels. I spent months researching, collecting recommendations, and debating islands and rooms. Looking back, I would stay at every single one of these properties again without hesitation.

Here’s where we stayed, why we loved each one, and how they all fit together perfectly.

Enigma Suites — Santorini

Quiet, romantic, and still the highlight of our trip

We started our honeymoon in Santorini and stayed at Enigma Suites for the first four nights. A close friend had stayed here before and insisted on recommending a very specific room, which made all the difference.

This hotel was hands-down the biggest highlight of our trip. It’s located on the quieter side of Santorini, which we loved. Santorini is stunning, but it can get overwhelming quickly. Enigma felt like a true escape from the crowds.

There are only eight suites on the entire property, and each one is completely unique. The design is elegant and modern with intricate details that somehow feel both luxurious and calm. And a huge bonus: privacy. One of the trickiest things about Santorini is people being able to see directly into your room. No one could see into ours, which made it feel even more special.

Every morning, breakfast is delivered directly to your private patio at a time you choose. The spread was incredible, the coffee was some of the best we had in Greece, and the fresh orange juice was unreal. My husband, who lives for breakfast, was in heaven and easily went through what felt like a hundred plates a day. Watching the staff gracefully navigate the stairs with trays of food was honestly a show in itself.

The service was warm, thoughtful, and personal, and the whole experience felt intimate and unforgettable. We still talk about this place almost weekly, even a year and a half later.

If you ever plan a Santorini trip, reach out to me. Every room here is different, and choosing the right one matters.

Milos Breeze Boutique Hotel — Milos

The perfect balance after a splurge

Our second stop was Milos, where we stayed at Milos Breeze Boutique Hotel. This was a slightly less expensive stay compared to Santorini and our final hotel, and honestly, it was exactly what we needed.

The property is beautiful and relaxed, with a great pool and complimentary breakfast each morning (which is very much a Greece thing, and always so good). We also booked massages on property here, which were amazing and such a nice way to slow down after traveling between islands (which is a show).

One of the biggest perks was the location. It’s an easy walking distance to Pollonia, which meant we could walk to dinner, stroll through town, and head out for boat days without needing transportation. That made the whole experience feel effortless.

The rooms themselves were a bit less “bougie” than our other two stays, but in the best way. It was comfortable, peaceful, and the perfect in-between stop that balanced out the bigger splurges on either end of the trip.

Avant Mar — Paros

Luxury, location, and the best way to end the trip

We ended our honeymoon in Paros at Avant Mar, and it was the perfect finale.

This property is truly luxury done right. The amenities were a 10/10, from the stunning pool to the private beach to the spa on property, which was incredible. Everything felt polished, calm, and elevated without being stuffy.

The location was another huge win. Avant Mar is just a short walk to Naoussa, one of our favorite towns of the entire trip. We loved being close enough to walk in five minutes for dinner and exploring, but far enough away that we didn’t hear any of the nightlife noise. It felt like having the best of both worlds.

After hopping islands and moving around, ending the trip here felt grounding and indulgent in the best way. It was a beautiful place to soak in the last days of our honeymoon.

Worth Every Night

Each of these hotels played a different role in our honeymoon, and together they created a trip that felt balanced, thoughtful, and incredibly special. From the intimacy of Santorini, to the ease of Milos, to the luxury and energy of Paros, I wouldn’t change a thing.

If you’re planning a Greece trip and feeling overwhelmed by options, I get it. I spent months researching and would happily help you narrow it down and secure some awesome perks with your stays.
